River Innaconne – River returns this summer as the Head Instructor. He is the UNH Sailing Team captain and an avid racer.  He loves to sail the Laser (hoping to own one soon) and has been frostbiting in Newport during the winters.  River is an Ocean Engineering major at UNH. This summer River will be participating in the FAGAWI and Marblehead to Halifax regatta. He is one of the Seaman and Mariners instructors. He also has his Level 1 certification.

Ben Tully – Ben is a new instructor in both the Seaman and mariners classes. He has fallen in love with sailing and will be joining the UNH Sailing Team this fall.

Kailee Bolduh – Kailee returns this summer and gave up her Guppy class for the Seaman and Ensign classes.  Kailee sailed for MSST before going the UNH Sailing Team.  Kailee is the recruit coordinator for the UNH Sailing Team. Kailee also has her Level 1 certification.

Jane Kayarian – Jane will be the Kayak instructor this summer. She is also active on the UNH Sailing Team.

Hannah Wagner – Hannah is the Guppy instructor and was a lucky find for us.  She also attends UNH.

Joe Ricca – Joe joins us for the Mates and Skippers class.  Joe is also an experienced racer, with his Level 1 and 2 certification. He raced with MSST last summer and is off to college this fall (boo hoo, not UNH).

Junior Instructors are 16 years old and are in one of the afternoon classes or have been in the Kayaking program for at least two summers. They will be on hand both during the week and occasionally on Saturday.  Most Junior Instructors are also members of MSST.

We are joined this year by the following JI’s without whom we couldn’t run the program:

Connor Durgin, Jake Macdonald, Emma Kovalcik, Mike Berwanger, Timmy Bartos, Devin Lampman.

If you are 15 years old and in one of the afternoon classes or have been in the kayaking program for at least one summer you may volunteer in the mornings. These hours can be verified for any school or Scout community service.
